Emily's Baby Shower

Vanilla Cupcake Tree

Bibs, Bottles, Buggies and Onesies

The day after Christmas I hosted a Baby Shower for my best friend Emily. Emily and I have been best buddies since 7th grade and we are so excited to actually be pregnant at the same time! I was thrilled to get to throw her a shower. I really appreciate all the help that my family gave me as well as her sister Amy. It was fun making cookies and cupcakes to celebrate her little boy who is due March 7th. We can't wait to meet him!!!

Ladybug Ladybug

I made these Ladybug cookies for a Ladybug baby shower. I had a lot of fun making large and small cookies for this order. I had never really done the mini cookies before and they were just so cute all wrapped up with a ribbon.

Mommy and Baby

50 and Fabulous

Last year I made cookies for my cousin Jamie's Dad's 50th birthday. This year I got to make them for her Mom's 50th birthday. Jamie and Brandon are so sweet they drive all the way over from Bakersfield to pick up the cookies. It's especially nice because then we get to hang out with them for a little while which is always fun!

A satisfied little customer...

Joy posted this on my facebook the other day and it makes me smile!!! :)

"I wish I had a video of a conversation I had with one of my cutie patooties today. He comes up to me at snack time while eating your cookie and asks me "Did you make this delicioso cookie, Mrs. K?" I laughed and said..."No, one of my bestest friends did." He said: "I gotta meet this lady. This is the best cookie I've e...ver had...DELICIOSO!" hahahaha I died laughing asking him where he knows the word...delicioso and he said "I'm part mexican, duh! My last name is Sanchez!" hahahah You would love this kid! He is your #1 fan...besides me of course! :) :) :) The cookies were a HIT again! You are so talented and so sweet! I love you!!!!"

Kids say the best things!!! Thank you Mrs. K for sharing that with me, it made my day!!! : )

Back to School

You know that it's going to be a good school year when you walk in to Meet The Teacher Night to find...

not only books on you new desk but a cookie too!!!

Mrs. K has to be one of the worlds most thoughtful teachers! Not to mention that her students always have such a blast with her! I don't ever remember getting anything like this from a teacher when I was a kid, do you?

It was so fun to see her classroom all ready for the year to begin. I love the way the cookies matched her school house theme! Have a wonderful school year 2nd Graders!!

5th Grade Cookies

Mr. K's 5th Grade class is studying US History so he went with a patriotic theme. Seriously, are these not two of the funnest teachers ever?!?!? The really neat thing about these cookies is that some of the students who will enjoy them were in my first 1st grade class. It is hard to believe that they are already in 5th grade!

International Cookie Mail

One of the teachers that I work with asked me if I could make angel cookies for her because she has an aunt who loves angels and she wanted to surprise her with cookies for her Birthday. The amazing thing to me about this story is that she picked up the cookies from me and then packaged them up and shipped them all the way to her aunt in the Netherlands!! Never in a million years did I think my cookies would make it all the way around the world. I feel truly honored that she felt my cookies were worth shipping for such a special gift!!

I wasn't sure how to do the mouth so I tried to make them look like they were singing... : )

Bikini Cookies

I found this cookie cutter and I just couldn't resist! Awhile back I was hosting a Lingerie shower and I looked everywhere to find bra and panties cookie cutters... I had no luck then but when I found these recently I was so excited I just had to buy them. Since it's summer time I decided to experiment with Bikini's but I would love to do cookies for a Lingerie shower one of these days!!

Cookie Cupcakes

These might actually be my favorite cookies I have ever made!! I found this cupcake cookie cutter awhile ago but had no reason to make them. So, after making the "thank you" cookies I decided it was time to play and experiment. I had some extra dough so I made some cupcake cookies just for fun. I was so pleased with how they turned out, who doesn't love cupcakes? Cupcakes combined with cookies... even better!! It actually worked out perfectly because I was going to be seeing 3 people with birthdays in the following days so they each got some Happy Birthday Cupcake Cookies. : )

Say "Thank You" with Cookies!!

Sometimes you just need a little something to help you say "thank you" to someone who has blessed you. What better way to do so than with a tasty treat!?!? ; )

Thank you Joy and Sean for being my number one cookie supporters!!! I heart you both!!

King Arthur Birthday Party

These were for the grandson of one of the teachers I work with. His name is Arthur and he turned 1 so they decided to have a King Arthur Party. My Grandma was staying with me for the week so she helped me and kept me company while we prepared 100 cookies
for this special party.

Pumpkin Scones

Other than cookies, scones are truly one of my favorite things to bake!! I have a wonderful old fashioned scone recipe that I love to make but recently I branched out and made some pumpkin scones. I know it's not Fall but I simply LOVE pumpkin and I decided to make them even though it was Spring! I think the pumpkin scones at Starbucks are simply amazing so I went to google and typed in Starbucks pumpkin scones and I came up with this recipe. They were sooooo good and honestly just as good as the ones that really come from Starbucks. Here's where you can find the recipe...

I just wanted to use the ingredients I had at home so I didn't end up doing the hazelnut glaze but it didn't mater... they were still super yummy!! : )

Happy Birthday Scotty Dogs

My uncle Dave loves his two doggies Howie and Miss Molly so my Grandma and mom thought it would be fun to send him doggie cookies for his birthday. Unfortunately I didn't have a Howie or Miss Molly cookie cutter but I did have a Scotty Dog so that's what he got! I had so much fun making and sending these cookies to my very special Uncle. Happy Birthday Uncle Dave, I love you!!! : )
